Until mid-September, the total citizen investment has reached over Ks968 billion, down over Ks500 billion compared with the same period last year, according to the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA).
During the six-month budget period, the total foreign investments hit over US$1.6 billion and the total citizen investment over Ks974 billion, said an offfical of the DICA.
Until mid-September of 2017-2018 fiscal year, the total citizen investment hit over Ks1472918 million.
During this year, hotel and tourism sector saw an inflow of Ks128058.303 million in investments, industry sector with Ks180461.890 million, the housing development sector with Ks181888.531 million, livestock and fishery sector with Ks69295.660 million, other services sector with Ks365072.910 million, mining exploration sector with Ks25750 million, the farming sector with Ks 700 million and the electricity sector with over Ks17639 million.
Until mid-September of 2017-2018 FY, hotel and tourism sector saw an inflow of Ks 52784.163 million in investments, industry sector with Ks195717.455 million, the transport and communication sector with Ks388966.150 million, the housing development sector with Ks156883.370 million, the livestock and fishery sector with Ks13456.516 million, the construction sector with Ks76773.337 million, other services sector with Ks307555.885 million, the industrial zone construction sector, with Ks222545.450 million, the farming sector with Ks 400 million and the electricity sector with Ks 57835.974 million.
From April to mid-September this year, the total FDI inflows into regions and states amounted to US$ 1.65 billion and the total citizen investment Ks 974 billion, according to Myanmar Investment Commission.
During the same period, the MIC allowed 77 foreign investments worth US$ 934.102 million plus the investment promotion of US$ 1479.698 million.
In addition, the MIC allowed Ks 909954.774 million including 84 citizen investments worth US$ 186.655 million plus the investment promotion of US$ 213.903 million.
